The Day the Music Died

In memoriam: Fifty years ago today , the small plane that was carrying Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson crashed in rural Iowa. Don McLean later immortalized this loss of some of rock 'n' roll's brightest stars as "The Day the Music Died".



And the three men I admire most:
The father, son, and the holy ghost,
They caught the last train for the coast
The day the music died.
