Artist and Environmentalist

Hundertwasser is Artist of the Month on AllPosters.com! Hundertwasser is one of my favorite architects, whom I have really come to love since arriving in Vienna and seeing several of his major works around me. He is famous for his unusual colorful buildings with odd angles that avoid straight lines; additionally, all of his buildings incorporate nature in some way, such as having trees growing out of the building or grass covering the roof.  Plus, this Kiwi-lover was delighted to find out that he chose to live in New Zealand most of his life, considering it his official home.

Here's one view of the famous Hundertwasserhaus in Wien, a low-income apartment complex:
